All our applications are designed, written, and optimized for computers running Mac OS X and currently there are no Windows or Linux variants planned.

However, 'Mac only' does not need to be a deal-breaker! You can run both the Windows or Linux application you need and the Mac applications you want to run — on a Mac.

The Applications You Want on the Computer You Like

Using a virtualization solution like Parallels Desktop for Mac, VMware Fusion, Sun VirtualBox (free!), or Code Weavers CrossOver Mac you can run other operating systems or Windows applications on top of the Mac OS X operating system.

All these solutions use the existing hardware of current Macs to run the guest operating next to Mac OS X. If possible they also integrate the applications running in the guest OS into the Mac OS X desktop so that you don't even have to switch between the two environments.

CrossOver Mac even goes a step farther and provides Windows applications with the environment they expect but without the unneeded rest of the Windows operating system. This approach doesn't work for all applications but there is a long list of applications known to work.

What does this mean for you? Almost all Windows or Linux application run nicely side-by-side with native Mac applications, e.g. DEVONthink or DEVONagent, on one computer.
